Manukura was the first white Kiwi ever hatched in captivity. She hatched at New Zealand’s National Wildlife Centre, Pūkaha Mount Bruce, in Tararua/ Wairarapa. She is not an albino but an extremely rare, white, North Island Brown Kiwi.
