These beautiful earrings supporting our current Mana: Protest in Print Exhibition have been crafted by Nichola Te Kiri.
More than just a newspaper, Mana was a beacon of resistance, advocacy, and cultural pride for Māori and Pacific communities in the 1970s. Mana: Protest in Print explores the legacy of the groundbreaking publication which continues to resonate today.
Inspired by her heritage and upbringing as a woman of Māori and Pakeha descent, Nichola Te Kiri creates jewellery, fashion and homewares for her label Nichola. She believes in the importance of mahi- storytelling, through shared stories the taonga of her work comes alive, creating a unique contemporary Māori Design.
